PLAY PAVILLION

the architecture society . national university of singapore

Play – an inquiry that we as architecture students seek to inspire and celebrate through design purity that is normally subject to real-world constraints. The emergence into a post-covid era seeks to have people from all walks of life engage in this melting pot of play - where our spaces can spark a conversation on how our surroundings can be gamified. Material purity while activating the inner children in all who approach adds a layer of challenge for us as we bring people of all ages together to celebrate play.

PUBLIC PLAYS - A SUSTAINABLE PLAYSCAPE

COLLLAB . School of Architecture and Built Environment, UCSI University

The project was co-initiated by colllab, an architecture research lab in the School of Architecture and Built Environment, UCSI University and the community of Kampung Belemang, with the support grant by Khind Starfish Foundation, Project for Happiness 2020 and fundraising among the community. To instil the importance of a community public space, we hope to innovate a participatory and sustainable play-scape that could be fun for the children, which could then lead to the family gathering.
